When an image is loaded into Modifyle, our client-side engine automatically samples the perimeter pixels to determine the dominant backdrop color. By adjusting the Color Tolerance and Edge Smoothing sliders, you control the Euclidean color distance threshold and alpha blending, ensuring crisp edges without ugly color fringes or jagged boundaries.
Use the Magic Wand eyedropper to click any background color variation, or toggle Contiguous mode to flood-fill only outer regions. For stubborn shadows or stray background elements, switch to the Touch-up Brush to manually erase unwanted pixels with adjustable brush sizing.
Finally, use the Auto-Trim Margins feature to cleanly crop away excess transparent borders and export a lightweight, 32-bit transparent PNG ready for web designs, slide decks, and print layouts.
